Can masking tape affect the colour of the sealant?
Yes. When masking tape is used on or along the joint, for example during painting works, adhesive residues may remain. These residues can locally discolour the sealant, especially when they remain in contact with the sealing material for an extended period. We therefore recommend thoroughly cleaning the substrate with a suitable solvent before applying the sealant.
