Calculate the
required quantity

Estimating the required amount of sealant for your jointing work is not always easy. With this calculation tool you can easily obtain an indication of the amount of cartridges or foil packs you need for your project. Enter the dimensions of the joint, taking into account the diameter of any backing material, and calculate your required amount.

Joint dimensions Respecting the recommended joint dimensions (ratio of joint width to joint depth) is important for the life span of the sealant. An incorrect ratio of joint width / joint depth makes the elastic joints less deformable, which can cause the sealant to crack or detach.
In order to obtain the recommended joint depth, a backing material made of closed-cell PE round foam or open-cell PU round foam can be used (only for connection joints not subject to moisture).
The backing will also prevent the sealant from adhering to the joint bottom (which greatly reduces the freedom of movement of the sealant and can tear it) and from using an excessive amount of sealant in deep joints.
The diameter of the backing material should be a few mm larger than the width of the joint, so that it is sufficiently fixed in the joint and cannot be pushed away during the application of the sealant.

Foil pack (400ml): packaging in multi-layer aluminum foil to be processed with a combination gun. Foil reduces residual waste by 90% compared to a cartridge

Foil pack (600ml): packaging in multi-layer aluminum foil to be processed with a sausage gun. With a 600ml foil, twice as much product can be applied compared to a cartridge.
