How long can I store an opened tube?

Silicone and hybrid sealants harden at a rate of 2 to 3 mm during the first 24 hours due to direct contact with air humidity and slow down afterwards. A good shielding of the open tube with the air can therefore already help.

After a few days or weeks, usually only the upper part of the nozzle is cured and can then be removed with a knife. If this is not possible but the product in the tube is still liquid you can continue working with a new nozzle.
