Which glue is best for bonding baseboards?
Gluing baseboards is a quick and clean way to firmly attach them without drilling or screwing. For the best results, we recommend using a high-quality mounting adhesive.
The choice of glue depends on the type of baseboard (for example, wood, MDF, PVC) and the surface (such as concrete, plaster, wood, or tiles).
At DL Chemicals, we recommend using Parabond 600 or Paracol Montagekit WB for this.
- Parabond 600 is a versatile, high-quality MS polymer that provides a strong, durable bond on various surfaces like plaster, brick, concrete, or wood. This premium mounting adhesive remains flexible over time and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
- Paracol Montagekit WB is an easy-to-use, solvent-free, water-based mounting adhesive, ideal for light to medium-duty indoor applications.

Tips for gluing baseboards:
- Prepare the surface: Make sure the surface is clean, dry, and free of grease for optimal adhesion.
- Apply the glue: Apply the adhesive in dots or a wavy line on the back of the baseboard.
- Position the baseboard: Press the baseboard firmly against the wall and hold it in place for a few seconds to ensure a good bond.
- Finishing touches: For a clean finish, you can seal the edges with a paintable acrylic caulk.
