How to protect against rainwater infiltration?
Walls and porous roofs can be protected against rainwater infiltration in a simple way: by applying hydrophobic treatment. This technique makes porous surfaces water-repellent, preventing rainwater from penetrating the wall while still allowing vapor transport from the inside out.
How do you proceed?
- Clean the surface with Green Cleaner and let it dry.
- Shield the surfaces that should not be treated and avoid application in direct sunlight.
- For large surfaces, use Parafuge Facade F. Apply in one coat or treatment using a sprayer.
- Start at the top with a 40 cm strip and make a back-and-forth motion.
- Spray the liquid like a curtain over the surface to fully saturate it.
- For smaller surfaces, use Parafuge Facade G. Apply with a low-pressure gun, roller, or brush.
